363 more days and The Man

WrestleMania has come and gone for this year and it could not have been better. From top to bottom, the show was more than anyone could ask for. The atmosphere, our fans, the weather, and the matches – this one is going to be hard top. Only 363 more days (as I am writing this) until next year's WrestleMania in the Lonestar State and I CAN”T WAIT!!!!!

A lot of you have asked what my favorite match was (and by the way, that’s not very nice to put me on the spot like that; just joking). I swear every single match was amazing. The Ladder Match ... man, these guys truly showed how the Superstars continue to put their bodies on the line for the pure entertainment of our fans. The Triple Threat ... how awesome was that? The World Heavyweight Championship Match ... nothing more exciting! Floyd Mayweather vs. Big Show ... you have to admit – he is a showman!

BUT ... I have to go with Ric Flair vs. Shawn Michaels. Ric has been, as many of you know, one of my idols since I was very young. I used to run around the house screaming “WOOOOOOOOOO” every chance I got. In college I continued the trend while playing sports. If a good play was made, you got it, “WOOOOOOOOO!!!” To see this match, to be a part of history, wow – this was one of the best days of my life. Everything those two guys had, all of their heart and soul, was left out in that ring. The match they put on, the story they told, not only left me speechless, but literally left me in tears. Ric has given so much to our company as an entertainer, as a wrestler and as a friend! He is one of the best guys I have ever met and I will always love him. He may not have won the match, but for Ric and all of us watching, we were all winners. I don’t think it will ever be a question. Ric, you are, and will ALWAYS be THE MAN!!!! Thank you for all you have done for me. From the bottom of my heart, I love you! (Insert more tears here.)

Another part of WrestleMania is the many appearances that the Superstars do. I did a few, but two were definitely my favorites. I took part in the 2008 THQ Superstar Challenge, which was a lot of fun. I may not have won (this year), but mark my words, I will be a true, full-fledged gamer by the tournament next year.

Make-A-Wish Circle of Champions ... I had the true honor, along with Rey Mysterio and Kane, to meet 54 Make-A-Wish kids. We signed autographs, took pictures, talked with them and their families, etc. This is the most rewarding, most humbling experience I have ever had. Each and every one of these kids are true CHAMPIONS! They are the most courageous, bravest, kindest, cutest, happiest, respectful people I have ever met. Here is a group of kids that are in awe of meeting us, the WWE Superstars. Little do they know, they are the true inspirations. They are the ones who give us all hope, who make us want to live each day to the fullest and make us want to put on a brave face when it’s not always the easiest thing to do. For that, I thank all of you! You make me smile.

For now, I will talk to you guys later. Don’t worry, I didn’t forget about the Women’s Championship. Stay tuned … you better believe I’ll be addressing that issue in the VERY near future.

Take care. Remember ... faith to fight the good fight, heart to believe and soul to search within.

Lovin' life!
